This payment hold is an Authorization to complete the payment you have agreed to pay the worker once the project has been completed. Just like a hotel chain puts a hold on your card, SideWork makes sure the funds are available for the completion of the project. This process is a safeguard to protect our users and to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. Once the Project is completed, your card will be charged and funds will be sent to the sideworker minus applicable Stripe and SideWork Fees. Upon cancellation you will receive a hold release and will be able to re-submit your project.
